Rad & Res & Pomp

eheim 1048 of 1250 ??

Help me out here :)

en raad gevraagd over radiator.. :hello: :ws:

the maniak 22nd August 2003 21:11

as ge alleen cpu koelt is de 1048 goed genoeg...

rad is wel goed, ma raad u aan op nie daar te kopen

www.cosh.ag is een pak goedkoper

KoZRa 22nd August 2003 21:21

en daar zijn zoveel rads, dno which to choose :p

quarantaine 22nd August 2003 21:28

why no heatercore from the yunkyard? performs as good as that rad you say and costs 5-15€

my setup will consist of the following parts (finally got time to mod next week))
eheim 1250 , heatercore (opel astra/kadett) , cascade cpu blok , chipset dangerden full copper , klax graph-o-matic (till i find something beter) , dangerden res and tygon tubing.
i think that it will be a pretty high-end setup.

Teus his block will perform very well and an eheim 1048 is also very qualitive. it doesn't necessary have to cost serieus amounts of money to be good.

KoZRa 22nd August 2003 21:30

myeah, but really want the best tho :) still doubting about rad & pomp, and dnno what reservoir either.

Gimme some advice plzzzzzzz

look at that cosh site and tell me whats best, cause there are so many :P

Vorda 23rd August 2003 01:45

quar: what are the dimensions of that heatcore?

maro 23rd August 2003 08:05

Use a 1048, I cool both cpu and mobo, I have 2 reservoirs and an evo240 rad (size of two 120mm's). The 1048 has enough thrust. A 1250 wouldn't improve your cooling it would just sit there making more noise. ;)

about the rad: the black ice is a very good choice but I've heard a lot of good stuuf from auto rads (no experience myself) so for less than 15€ why not give it a shot. You'll have to see about te connectos though, a bit work there but hey, that shouldn't be a problem.

Oh, and about the res, the only thing to make shure off is the it doesn't create bubbles but removes them (heard something about tank o matic that needs the inner tubes to be cut). I think the res is most of the time a matter of looks (and price). Da Boka made a howto on making a plexi res. Check it out, it's quite good.

happy cooling

KoZRa 23rd August 2003 10:56

bout the rad: hmm what about the innovaRadi - Dual Fan Version SilentPower-Set at Cosh site, take a look at it

eheim 1048 it is!
Still looking for the reservoir :)

KoZRa 23rd August 2003 11:13

Ok what about this:

CPUBLOCK: TeuS Made Block :D
RESERVOIR: innovaTank-O-Matic Ausgleichsbehälter v1
RAD: Dual Fan Version SilentPower-Set
PUMP: Eheim 1048

And with 12mm slungs or whatever you name it :p

maro 23rd August 2003 11:46

That's looking good. What are you planning to do with your water? It's always a good idea to put in some anti corrosive because I checked and your rad is made of aluminium (cpu block is copper) so that would make it complete I think. And while you're at it if you have a UV ccfl in your case take UV reactive anti corrosive.

greets and enjoy h2o

KoZRa 23rd August 2003 11:50

Planning on overclocking and hardcore gameing, and showing off with my ownage case :D

totally  :p

mm, where can i buy anti corrosive ? and sorry for asking but whats it for??? :S

i baught 3 Blue ccfls, to put in my Lian Li PC65 , and i'm going to order blue UV water for my h²o

ps: i had advice from The Dark Advenger , and he said that i better took the eheim1250 cause its got double flow, and is perfect for my 2x 120mm rad that im going to buy?

anti corrosive usually serves two purposes: first its stops algae and other biostuff to grow in your watersystem and secondly if you have components of two different metals in contact with water (in your case aluminium and copper) it stops interaction (basicly they dissolve very slowly) between the metals.

You're probably reffering to UV reactive stuff. So the blue ccfl's won't be any good, you'll need UV ccfls for it to glow.

And finally you don't need a 1250 it's overkill. I can't find the link where they discuss the pump (its on the forum of aquacomputer.de) but recently there was a thread here too about the choice of pump. I have a similar setup as you do: maze3->DD chipset block->evo 240 (two fan rad) ->res1->res two -> 1048 and I have more than enough flow. Really on aquacomputer they even say a 1046 is enough. So with 1048 you will do fine. I think you won't reach beter temperatures with a 1250 you'll only have more noise.

One last thing you might want to use these:

They reduce the vibrations of the pump so your whole case isn't amplifying the noise of your pump's vibrations.

KoZRa 23rd August 2003 14:11

hmm still you didnt tell me where to buy those anti stuff
+ you didnt tell me where to buy those anti noise thingys :s

maro 23rd August 2003 19:47

www.aquacomputer.de if you buy for 200€ or more delivery is free. So perhaps take the evo 240 (it's a good rad i've got one too). And save the delivery costs.

what bout that? :p

or need something more ?

maro 25th August 2003 12:53

Xploited Titan 25th August 2003 13:10

If you're still looking for one of the best commercial rads (if not the best): Thermochill 120.3

I've got it, but my cooling rig isn't mounted...

Eheim 1048 is enough for you....

maro 25th August 2003 21:34

sorry maar beste commerciële rad is zeker evo 1800.

plaats voor 15 120mm's

199€ (zonder fans)

TeuS 25th August 2003 22:19

FreeStyler 26th August 2003 00:03

Actually, why bother with a side panel window. Just put in a side panel RAD.
Or good idea for the left side, since generally there isn't much to see there.

cpu: 128*opteron 144 :gay:
cooling: h2o cluster cooling :D
