PSU watercooling question
 

My watercooled PSU is almost finished, but I've got one question before I try the PSU and blow my whole rig into pieces. :)

Should I ground my PSU WB or not? I don't want my liquid to transport power. :s

well, give you 2 things to think about:

1. from the link PlayBoy provided:

2. the other hint is just pure physics: if you use water from the crane you should indeed worry about your water transferring electricity. on the other hand if you use distiled water there shouldn't be a problem, because distiled water does not conduct electricity. (it's the "unpurities" in the water that conduct electricity, not the water itself)
   the only thing that could conduct electricity, would be those copper pipes.

but just to be shure: I'd go with tip one and/or ground your copper components.

Ground on the PSU is the chassis right? or are you going to ground your copper parts to one of the black leads?

How's the watercooled PSU doing ?

I broke a diode while removing one of the heatsinks. I've mailed enermax.com.tw requesting the exact type of the diode i broke. Nothing heard from them yet.... :(

In the meanwhile, I'm stuck with a very, very sucky 300W noname PSU. 11.20V on 12V rail and vcore = 1.52 if set to 1.65. Blah :(

a) is that diode AC or DC?
b) how many volts do you estimate it is?

try using a regular diode
