Project 8800GT soon To be continued :) Getting 2 cards in lend... will watercool them and see if we can redo a sort off 9800GT thingy |
Trait them good, they're fragile ;) |

define fragile , I just want 800Mhz GPU on H2O... RAMs at 1000Mhz or more... any input is appareciated what to look out for etc... I had one eVGa 8800GT 522 which did +/-800 GPU with the shaders a tad under 2000 out of the box |
They die often when voltmodded |
Not often? Only once! |

found that out the hard way some time back with a 8800GT. |
I'm referring to a 8800 GT, which will happen only once;) |

The Xpertvision 3+1 phase cards are alright and the early G92 ref PCB cards are alright as well :) The blue PCB PNY/ BFG ones suck. RAM stops at 1GHz on the button. Flipside... the cores on those seem generally ok- 850MHz linked on water with mild volts. |
I get these for free, so even if they just do 800mhz I'm already happy to bench with them. Thx for the tips sir Kennylicious... I got a few 8800GTS 512's too on the way... just for fun... very cheap hardware for me only.... so you are joining the Shrimps now mate ? I hate to say it, but we NEED you :p |
More than happy to post here if I can contribute, but wont be jumping ship ;) How is a UK bencher going to help increase Belgiums overclocking roster? :D You guys push hard and it will pay off over time ;) Sometimes I eye up the 8800GTS 512MB as well... I cant fault your taste in hardware :p |
well them GTS cards need LN2 to get anywhere on the bot, so it's a new challenge... |
