OC for cheap Remember this? http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&articID=161 I switched the board from MSI to P4P800 three months ago but I still used the PC2100. After the fooling around with the cheap W/C, I switched it back to air cool. This cheap guy (me) finally got around to replace the PC2100 with PC2700. Here is what I get. Sandra returns over 3900mb/s memory. A cool day at 21C room here in Great Chicago Land.:) |

For a processor that is over two years old; DDR333 stick (run at 200 mhz); who is to say poor man can't have fun?:D With a second handed R9700 from eBay, the fun for this cheap old guy has just increased three folds.:) |
now only if you could actually manage to finish any game on a setting more challenging then "very easy" ;) |
See the icon Combat Flight Sim ...... I beat everyone in the family half my age.:^D Also beat my daughters' husbands in COD, UT2004, MTR.:) |
we have to play UT2003/4 1on1 when you have the time UT2003 preferred if you have it :)à |
UT original, that's the game.... ;) |
bwa; oki for me, but UT2003 is speedier and has better graphics .. AND better network code |
nah the 2003 was a misser in the UT lineup. The original still ownes, closely followed by the 2004. if you like 2k3, you just don't like the rest, it's just a different game. |
uhm, I can make up my own mind thank you very much. I liked UT I like UT2003 have played UT2004 in DM; not much different from UT2003; so I don't see where that would be different UT2003 InstaGib DM-Gael 2nd most fun game/map ever:) Quake 1 E1M7 is 1st :) |
Hey there, Without increasing vcore it hits 3.31 Ghz, too bad my PC2700 (333) has to be turned down to 266 Mhz. 1.3 GHz overclock with simple air .... no fuss. Now, when I get my hands on a "normal" vcard.:D |
