hehehe, posted in the right place this time

kk, its not done yet, so heres a tease, i only painted this part so far, havent figured how ima chop up the front yet to mount my lcd screen, but doesnt it look so much better than the antec look (p160) at least its not so ugly anymore

ssl6 9th September 2004 16:31

hehe, heres the sidepanel....no window yet, but hey

its pearlescent paint by the way, so it changes colors depending on the angle you look at it from. i dont get the best effect of it in a darkroom though, but pearlescent, common

ssl6 10th September 2004 03:09

heres a picture of my toggle switches i added on 2day, took me a few hours.....im slow i guess.....but 1 is for my uv light, the other switches my tornado fan from 7v to 12v, pretty neat

Gamer 10th September 2004 20:17

looks nice.

keep up the good work.

Laagvliegerke 10th September 2004 20:57

Is that chrome-look of the P160 really so bad? To be honest I don't like is that "chrome"-look on the front of the case. But I've read a review and they wrote that it wasn't that bad. It looks better when you see it with your own eyes, they said. On the other hand, you've painted it so it must be ugly indeed. :D It looks better now. ;) And maybe I'm asking a stupid question but why did you buy this case if you think it's ugly?? :D

And do yo have any pictures in dark? I like those blue led's of the P160 :)

ssl6 10th September 2004 21:01

ya, i have alot more pictures, im working on updating my website, im gonna have to upload everything to it soon, along with more detailed pictures, and i do have a picture of it in the dark somewhere, ill post it in a bit

ssl6 13th September 2004 02:06

ssl6 13th September 2004 02:12

heres the picture of it in the dark i had, dont have the front switches in this, sorry

kristos 13th September 2004 02:51

I think it looks better with the lights out. And I mean all lights, so you can't see te case.

No just kidding. Very nice done :super:
What kristos trying to say is ( I think) that there is not enough light in your case. You got the glow of your rounded cables, and thats all. Maybe paint some ram slots with UV paint if you don't want to put a "light" ccfl in there. You can also paint the edges of your pci cards with it etc.

kristos 19th September 2004 16:58

Not only that, in the first pic there is also a much greater diversity in the colorscheme it seems.

With the lights on, you've got bright uv lightblue, bright UV purple'ish and an bright pink-yellow

With the lights out, you've got a fairly faint darker blue x 2 and 2 strong red led's...

ssl6 21st September 2004 14:01

ya, i've only got one cc in there, the rest are led fan's, im gettin one for the front of it, right now i have the black fan that came with the case there. when i finish the sidepanel (i've been distracted lately) i have a led fan to put on it, but im thinkin of gettin a uv fan to replace it. and im gettin some blue uv sleeving, and some uv paint for the pci slots as mentioned, hehe, ive had that in mind for a while. id rather find somethin more like uv tape that i can jus stick around them.

ssl6 24th September 2004 01:38

finished my window

heh, i was going to post this in my other thread, but it hasnt been touched in ages....this section seems a bit slow, so here it is, i finally got off my lazy @$$ today and finished my window. you can see it here

jmke 24th September 2004 07:47

looks pretty good, almost like a prefab ;)

ssl6 24th September 2004 13:12

:) im gettin some plastic washers to put under the screws and stuff....so i dont scratch my paint job, that paint wasnt cheap.....the holesaw i used for the fan was a bit too big, but you dont notice it with the grill

edit: who renamed my thread, i just noticed that

edit edit: MY GOD, my two threads have been joined together

heh, works for me, as long as my thread gets some attention, that's all i ask

kr15t0f 24th September 2004 13:26

what's bak? ;)

kristos 24th September 2004 16:22

UV sleeving for what? the cable mess? :p

no offense hey ;)

ssl6 24th September 2004 16:26

ya, i need sleeving, ima hafta open the psu again, all the cables are tangle. its going to be so much work.....i dont have that kind of ambition anymore:(

kristos 24th September 2004 16:31

well you don't necessarly have to sleeve them, if they're long enough, you can hide them behind your mobo pannel.

ssl6 24th September 2004 16:36

cant hide them behind the panel in this case. i tried, wont fit behind it because of the way the put the tray in on top of another tray with 3 bars going across in between them blocking the way for cables
