moon111 | 12th February 2005 18:56 | Microwave window used for case window Here you can see the metal frame I cut off the old microwave door. Because
the frame is recessed, the actual glass sticks out slightly. The panel had
holes in it. I drilled corresponding holes on the side panel and bolted the
two together. Then I quickly finnished off the outside with some automotive
body filler I had left over.
Because of time constraints, laziness, and nobody is going to see it...
I didn't do much work on the inside of the side panel.
On the outside, you can see the beaded lip from the old microwave door
sticking out past the side panel. Because of the body filler, it looks like
one piece.
I guess I could of had someone weld the piece in. This would of eliminated
the bolt heads from showing. Total costs were use of a cutting wheel in
my quarter-grinder and some left-over body filler I had laying around.
Inside, I'm running a VIA processor. (No not a chipset...a processor)
Maybe one of these days I'll be able to upgrade to a Celeron. |
