Looking for a new oc rig! Ok I must admit, it itches. A couple of months ago is sold mu oc rig, ( i tought i wouldn't have the time anymore ), but now i miss it to fool around and do craizy. I tought to for s939, but DFI has no 939 board yet, the only ones available are asus, gigabyte, msi and abit. there isn't much info available on the web over s939 mobo's, so that's why I ask you guy's. what board would you buy? would s754 be any option? |
MSI K8N Neo2 S754 is close to end of life in my humble opinion :( |
In a few more weeks, I'm confident that S939 with PCI-e board will surface.:) |
Epox has a nice board 2. |
|
seems nice, but the msi also! i will keep it in mind |
|
I'm selling them ;) , they are a bit more expensive then MSi , but it's worth it . They cost here in Belgium 155 euro . |

Well i'm waiting for my own winchester , this one is from a friend , it's his spare cpu , but doesn't clock that well . I only mannaged to reach 2580 mhz @ 1,6 volt stable . I ordered myself a 3000+ and a 3200+ , so i can keep the one going best . |
From what I read about the Windchester CPU so far is that its max overclocks is 2.6GHz but I could be wrong. |
You are wrong :D chip.de 2700mhz on air , and i have seen pics from 3gig and more under vapo . |
i've ordered a K8V and a 3000+ winchester, lets see how far this road goes. I'd be happy with 2,5Ghz but it seems so little. About a year ago, There were JIUHB's who did that speed. Almost no gain in clockspeed. :/ |
yeah but you can't compare an Axp and an A64 based on clockspeed. |
