Wasn't that PJ's Asus 5870 ? Or did you go mad and bought one...

Help me look for a 8800GTS 512 card dude, that screwhead of Kapaza is raising his price over 70 euro's ( we had a deal at 40 euro's at start, now some collegue want's to buy it for 70 lol, that ain't a price I gonna pay for a 2nd hand card)

Without any voltmods I'm getting nowhere with my S478 benching

Plus it's not allowed to surpass a Team Captain ( at least that's what Massman told me when I joined OC Team BE)

Your 18K Vantage score was done on 3.9 Ghz ?

I figured out the problem: temperature of the memory on the videocard. The datasheet indicates that optimal operating temperature is in between 0°C and 85°C, which makes -100°C kinda out of the specifications.

The only solution to this problem seems to be memory heatsinks?

I need to modify the Asrock motherboard still? Or are we gonna check for that Phenom-II board?

I'll bring the Asus s478 and the Asrock mobo, gonna give it a shot anyway... a quad would have been better for sure with the 05 and 06 benchies

Nothing new right, only component which needs the sub0temps is the processor. Heatsinks could be a solution, if not you could add heating resistors.

Massman 8th November 2009 12:22

Heating resistors?

geoffrey 8th November 2009 12:31

H-E-A-T-I-N-G R-E-S-I-S-T-O-R-S
A resistor used for the solely purpose of heating things up.

At 12V you might want to try 40~50 Ohm 5W resistors

Massman 8th November 2009 12:33

Where to solder them?
