only 80watt? guess you wont be able to use it on any next gen videocard now:p

Gamer 5th May 2004 13:16

you think ?
X800XT uses less power, so it's cooler :)

piotke 5th May 2004 13:26

where did you buy it? What price, & TEC included ?

once you up the GPU and start doing voltmods the output will go sky high, 80Watt? I'd think you'll pass that

The Senile Doctor 5th May 2004 14:23

my 9800 pro is modded and severely overclocked.
the 80 watt pelt laughs at it and condenses the backside.
you think 10 or 20 extra watts will change that, it'll still be cooler than ambient.

jmke 5th May 2004 14:26

I just want to see Gamer put a 220Watt pelt on there ;)

Gamer 5th May 2004 14:28

indeed Doc, what does he know about sub zero cooling :)

cost me about € 90 @ Tweakstore.nl but they are out of stock right now.
speedy delivery, ordered it saterday, got it today.

watercooling was about € 130.
Eheim 1048
Black Ice Extreme

minor artifacts @ 500/390, so a nice improvement.
no artifacts @ 490/390, so I need a voltmod :D

jmke 5th May 2004 14:31

I stuck my tong on the bottom of a prommy, Subzero cooling tastes good :p

Gamer 5th May 2004 14:42

:^D

fully 3Dmark stable without artifacts @ 490/390.
so I'm happy :feesten: :feesten:

:gay:

ps, second PSU for Pelt + Papst 120mm.
just to be sure.

jmke 5th May 2004 14:56

what was the max core speed
with stock cooling
max aircooling
?

got more pics? I smell a small howto ;)

Gamer 5th May 2004 14:59

standard heatsink : 430/360
AMD heatsink : 465-370
Dangerden : 490/390

not much pictures taken.

jmke 5th May 2004 15:02

don't have pics of card with isolation only? installation bolts? did you use AS5 between DD & core?

While looping 3DMark01 the average continuous power draw on the RADEON X800 PRO was 58W and the RADEON X800 XT Platinum Edition was 76W. While looping 3DMark03 the average continuous power draw on the RADEON X800 PRO was 49W and the RADEON X800 XT Platinum Edition was 65W
hey.. seems I wasn't far off :)

76Watt, at default speeds .. muhaha :)

Gamer 5th May 2004 15:21

http://www.dangerden.com/Instruction..._TEC_Guide.pdf

that's what the card uses for everything, not the core alone :)

used cheap thermal compound, nothing else.

jmke 5th May 2004 15:52

uses about the same amount of power as 9800XT? http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/...i-x800-09.html

The new X800 cards require much less power than the Radeon 9800XT

jmke 5th May 2004 16:08

the Pro, yes. the X Plat, no.

ThommY 5th May 2004 19:42

Here's my setup. (just finished it) It's going to be build in in my case.

Frosty! Can't read temps below 0°c. Crappy thermometer.

Madshrimps rox!

Still have to install the block but i'm to lazy today:grum:

Gamer 5th May 2004 21:09

maybe a 120-178 pelt would cool a lot better ? :)

next project I guess ....

jmke 5th May 2004 21:11

l33t pictures Thommy

The Senile Doctor 9th May 2004 11:18

I noticed a drop in stable oc of 15 mhz gpucore since my cpu is also WC-ed...that'll change when I'm mach 2 GT-ed.

wutske 9th May 2004 12:05

Why not a 226W pelt

(not mine :( tough - It is IamAnoobieCheez' pelt )

Gamer 9th May 2004 13:51
