The Senile Doctor 8th January 2006 04:39

is there anything you could do to further empower a vapochill LS? :D

jort 8th January 2006 11:16

yeah, there are a few things that could be done.

- desuperheater
- tuning the charge
- changing the compressor to an NL11F(compressor Prom)

with tuning the charge and add a desuperheater the evaptemp by ~5 degrees difference bewteen stock vapoLS

With an NL11F you can beat a stock Mach2 GT with it without a problem. ~10 degrees difference between stock VapoLS

;)

PS:I am going to do this on a friends vapoLS(the extreme mod), i'll put the worklog here when its done:super:

The Senile Doctor 8th January 2006 14:35

jort 10th January 2006 22:02

drilled The holes for suction and capillair

Purging with propane

clean copper on the inside

Almost ready to power it up

I brazed a piece of 1" copper between the suction to act like the accumulator on the mach2

results tomorrow;)

jmke 10th January 2006 22:14

flamingboy!

Gamer 10th January 2006 22:22

:excellent

jort 10th January 2006 23:55

Something strange is happening, when i start the Prom it runs smooth too -56 Evap temp bu then it goes to -66 and the pressure is going down.
this is because something is jamming the cappilairy tube.

going to replace the filter and a 3H vacuming of the unit.

jort 11th January 2006 19:54

replaced the filter, did a 4H vacuum and Gamer's mach 1 is now running

bios=> -24° on 1.79V stock speeds

i'll see what i can get out of this beast;)

edit: smartguardian saids 218-219° so minus 255 it was i tought.
=> ~ -35° idle

Quote:

SmartGuardian does not read sub-zero temps correctly. Once you get below zero centigrade, the monitor jumps to 255C and then works its way down again.
:super:

lets crank those mhz UP:grin:

edit2: damn coldbug :grum: , running some PI to raise the clocks then :D

jort 11th January 2006 20:21

Btw gamer the display saids -82 :D

i set the buzz at -90 8-)

jort 11th January 2006 21:21

:D

its a very bad Superpi time but i don't care its just testing;)

Gamer 11th January 2006 21:28

wow, killer temps :)

did you measure the real idle temp ?

jort 11th January 2006 21:39

No i'll attach the probe tomorrow, then i'll tune the hell out of that unit.

Or what do you mean with real idle?

everything stock?
