Calculated with http://www.benchtest.com/calc.html a 3.0 (or 3.06) draws 147watts from your PSU.

I don't know of a way to cool down such a beast with either Air or Water. There's this theoretical possibility it could work but it sure wouldn't be stable even if it booted and loaded windows.

A 2.4 @250fsb is peanuts, a 2.6 is common and a 2.8 is doable. After that it gets a lot harder. But, you're always encouraged to prove the sceptics wrong.;)


Edit: Northbridge cooling is overrated.:D

It's a product. They need to be sure it runs stable and relatively reliable. They wouldn't be able to commercialy make an offer for a 4 ghz system because to few procs reach that with a Vapo flawlessly, and rockstable.
