I use a 1250 and it's COMPLETELY noiseless.
It's not that difficult to achieve.
For those who do not believe me: contact me for a "live" demo...:D
I have to touch the 1250 to be sure it's on.

CD :)

and that little bit of humming i'm willing to take.

but at the moment i have my doubts
i can buy a sicce idra (pushes 1300L/hour and is pretty easily moddible to 1/2 (12mm) fittings) for 33€
or i can buy a eheim 1250 (that pushes 1200L/hour and is more difficult to mod to 1/2 fittings) for 74€

now i have to look at the quality/price

anyone an idea? it has to function in a waterchiller because i'm looking to get one in the next couple of months.
dunno if the idra can handle sub zero temps.

ps they both have 50W of heat they release to the water so you don't have to look there

I used to use the Idra, it's big ****, it rattles, it leaks (if you want pics, feel free to ask...)

Since I installed my 1250, it's a dream :D

What do you mean by "more difficult to mod to 1/2 fittings", they have both an outlet of 1/2" and an inlet of 3/4"...?

The Idra is 25 Watts, the 1250 is 28 Watts.

If you look at the quality/price: Eheim rockz...
Anyway, my $$$$ PC is in the hands of a pump, so I better like it to be a quality pump...

CD :)

since the shop where i was going to order doesnt sell the idra's anymore, i'll have to go with a eheim 1250 i think..

and by the more difficult to mod i mean that i didn't see any guide (yeah want to be sure it fits well ;) ) to mod the eheim to 1/2 fittings.
those pics are more then welcome ;)

btw did you recieve you're cascade allready? temps?

Wise decision to go with the 1250...:D

Here's what I had to do to make my Idra stop leaking...

This is what I used to silence my 1250:

By heating your 1/2" tubing in boiling water you should be able to put it over the 3/4" inlet of the 1250.
I used 20mm (3/4") PVC to connect the inlet to my 3-tap fill & bleed system.

No, I didn't receive my Cascade yet. I'm on a waiting list.
Cathar told me he would recontact me in 3-4weeks when he had one available for me (should be one of these days...)
BTW, do I know you from another forum?

CD :)

thx for the pics :) , hopefulle the Tygon can do that.
with regular pvc it was almost impossible to stretch it alot.

i thought i saw you posting on B2OC (if my memory serves me well) that you ordered one.
i payed mine yesterday so i hope the transaction goes well (first time for me to do an international transaction) and then its waiting time ;)

I'll get my White Water in a few days :D :D :D

And I'm confident about international orders (I ordered in Canada), sincerely, I've go more trouble three years ago with a Belgian shop (which I won't name)...........

Hey Quarantine, I just wanted to let you know that when you use the Cascade block you'll B way better of with the 1250 cause that's what the Cascade is all about "Huge water pressure on the Block" this way it cools better!!

PS: The Cascade is the best block on this planet so good choice!!
PS: What kind off rad are you going to use!! Heatercore, F2, BIX2, ... ?

Xploited Titan 8th August 2003 14:19

I suggest the Thermochill 120.3 :D :D :D :D :D I've got a 2 Hi-flow wb (Graph-O-Matic and D-Tek FSB northbridge waterblock) and a White Water.............. and I think (haven't put it to work yet (watercase has to be started)) the 1048 I have won't be too bad..... Or will it?

the cascade rocks; it has to arrive tomorrow (expected it today allready) read the whole thread on OCAU , and it convinced me truly.

and as radiator i'm not sure: a dual Heattransformer ( http://www.world-of-pc.de/product_in...oducts_id/2100 ) (new or secondhanded) or i'm going to keep my heatercore from the yunkyard

quarantaine 12th August 2003 19:52
