difference newcastle and venice?

Hi, I just bought a 3000+ venice a week ago. But today I found out the computershop actually solled me a newcastle. Is it worth complaining and asking a venice core CPU?

Venice has better memory controller, and lower voltage.

Newcastle came before the Wincester cpu, that came before the Venice cpu .... Old cpu ;)

never mind, seems just wrong software readout, updated my "old" overclocking tools I used for my barton and seems I got a venice :D

BTW easypanic, I heard you know much about A64 overclocking. I got some problems with my overclock.

Most of the memory settings I don't even know what they mean.

Got a DFI mobo btw. But I can post pictures of the settings I have no idea about what they mean if it would help.

whether you want to or not kr15t0f, you're going to have the understand the A64 platform before you can succesfully overclock it :)
