can't follow, talk to me slow, I'm blond :^D

if you're joking, don't read on ;p

if you seriously don't follow here's how it works:

the system in the pictures is cooled by ln2 wich is liquid nitrogen and gets down to -19* degrees celsius (for the exact numbers, google)

this is poored in do-it-yourself containers that are very well isolated, as well as the hardware.
but, with these kind of temperatures, stopping condensation from occuring is a near impossible task. also, the hardware doesn't function properly at temperatures this low (wich is why the cpu was being detected as a 1.7gig model).

especially the graphics card suffers from the condensation and low temps wich is why benchmarking was a no go. the card just is too unstable.

I don't see a picture, nor a system w/ ln2???

kristos 6th December 2004 18:51

can't see them in the thread at XS eather:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=42417

virtual zone is probably down, they were down yesterday night aswell...

Man, that's cool
But way too much LN2 for the insulation and too much heat for the ice to stay ice

(wondering when it's gonna say crack because of the ice :D )
