My mainboard is borked, bent pins it seems.

This is what Peter say's :
Quote:

not inserted properly or cpu need to reseat or bent pins
I can see a dozen bent pins in the left corner of the socket.
Bye bye RMA.

No way to realign them ? due to overtightened cooling ? I showed MM the pin that seemed to be +/- misaligned ( but that was in the middle of the socket, not on the edge )

I'm awaiting an update on the Classie board ( to be fully I9 compatible) and will buy one then via Alternate... what a setback this is :(

Sorry, right corner.
I\'ve tried, no change so far.

Massman 18th November 2009 12:23

Can you make a picture? Last night I check the socket more than once and never saw any issue :(

Gamer 18th November 2009 13:01

Got a reply from EVGA Europe, they asked me what memory I use.

Oh, this is going to take a while....

I\'m leaving the socket as it is from now, I\'ll do more harm....

I tried Corsair Dominators PC12800C8 rev 1.1 and OCZ Blade PC16000C7 6gb kits, first dimm slot seemed dead to me...

OCZ Gold series PC3-12800
