certified 300FSB 865PE board

Albatron 865PE Pro II

Sounds very believable, albatron has already proved to make high quality Intel boards with their overclockable 845PE series.

I hope these boards will be dirt cheap too. :D

don't think so...

Albatron aims more at high-quality products. They have a quality-imago, so prices wont be low. (btw, Albatron was found by Mr Jack Ko. who left Gigabyte, has a lot of experience in mobo-matters)

*make no mistake : AsRock is the budget-line of Asus, not Albatron

I know, that mistake is made often.

Their 845PE series was dirt cheap, why wouldn't their 865PE be?

-edit-

A pitty albatron is sooo hard to find in the benelux. :(

In germany:
Albatron 865PE: 115 eur :woot:
Albatron 865PE Pro II: 180 eur :/

The cheap no-nonsense version seems to be an awesome buy: S-ATA, 10/100mbit lan, 6ch sound (all i need).

That review was interesting. I only wish they paired the board against ABit's offerings. Thank's for the additional info on Albatron Dial_up. I didn't know Albatron was founded by an ex-Gigabyte employee. What's ironic, is the board is feature rich and seems to be a quality product similiar to Gigabyte, however; unlike Giagbyte offers some very nice overclocking options.

Seems like Mr. Ko builds some quality products, but also caters to the needs of the enthusiast/overclocker. Very feature rich BIOS.

My cousin has an Albatron Ti4200 GF4 vidcard, which spec's some quality high-speed memory. Looks like ALbatron is a company I'll be taking a closer look at. I'd been following their graphicfcards, I'd only wished they'd had a ATI design. Now I'll be looking more closely at their Motherboards due to this post. Thanks for the info people!

Albatron is barely a year old, formed by ex-Gigabyte and AOpen personal, but impressively enough this little company has really stepped up big despite its relatively young life
I've send an email yesterday to their sales department and got a reply less then 8 hours later! all the others I wrote either didnt respond or it took them 3-5 days :)

OMFG! Macci has his albatron running SuperPi at 350Mhz FSB!!!

Seems to be an very good motherboard to match with a 2.4C. :)
