Build your own Motherboard

What would be the ultimate motherboard for overclocking :)

Vcore up to 2.3v (intel/Amd)
Vmem up to 3.5v
no usb, no raid,.....
massive northbridgecooler,.....

Post your idea's
:grr:

you want me to make this board of eden? :king:

Gamer 7th June 2002 19:46

if it's not to much trouble ?
:super:

turbopll would be nice (something like the one they sell at XXLcases)

Vcore: since AMD and P4 are using 0.13µ now 2v Vcore should be enough, they die way to EZ with Vcore above 2v, but a margin of a few volts is handy I guess ;)

Vcore and other stuff all adjustable in BIOS offcourse.

Euhm...

positioning of capacitators should be set according to width of the top notch HS's - just an example of what should be ... ;)

Ok, this is a good idea, BUT whats the fun in that?
No Vmod, no NB mods, no vDIMM mods, ...
That's all the fun you take away, the fun in overclocking is doing something crazy, like Vmods, to attain high clocks, just for the purpose of being first...
With a mobo like the one you are creating now, every n00b can oc...

just an opinion ;)

PS. but we can see this as a theoretical practice or something ;)

I can't agree with you more!
It's like buying one of them premodded cases, where's the fun in that????

perhaps create a new socket (socket madshrimp:^D ) that's compatible with intel and amd cpu's .
and supply the mobo with 2 kind of north-/southbridges. so u can switch easily from the on to the other (use of a switch;better let it auto-recognize wether u are usining an intel or amd.
