Athlon 64 oc'ing trouble - newby :nutkick: I have overclocked my Athlon 64 to 2.12 GHz, but I keep reading other people clocking it much higher. Please help! :nutkick: Here is the systerm Hardware Case: Aspire ATXA1A Black (6 fans running) Power: 420 W (came with case) MoBo: Asus K8V Deluxe CPU: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+ CPU Cooling: Thermaltake SilentBoost K8 RAM: Corsair XMS 1024 MB DDR PC3200 Vid: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB All-in-wonder BIOS Jumperfree Config- CPU FSB: 210 MHz CPU Speed/Voltage: Auto DDR Volt: Auto AGP Volt: 1.5V V-Link Volt: 2.5V Performance: Auto Temperature CPU: 36C Idle)/ 44C (full) Case: 25-30C Voltage +12V: 11.712V (varies, don't know why) +5V: 4.999V +3.3V: 3.248V (varies) Vcore: 1.678V These are the settings and reading that I have it set on right now. I can't find anything about multipliers in the BIOS. Please let me know about where I should have stuff set and also if there is something missing that you need to know to help me out. I could really use any help offered. Also, my power isn't stable, I don't know what the deal is with that. Can anyone let me in on that, is it ok still, or should I worry? Last, but not least, The SilentBoost cpu cooling is pretty good, but I am trying to figure out what is the best out there. I spent hard earned money saving up for this computer and I want to have the best stuff that I can for it (within reason of course, I am, afterall, still in college). Thanks for all the help. |
