Default 5900XT POV or Chaintech ?

it's olmost my birhtday and yes i will get some money so i can but something and ofcourse that's hardware

but i'm thinking of a FX5900XT

but wish one ?

- Point of View
- Chaintech

POV review <= looks nifty

Chaintech review <= also looks nice

or chould i wait for the 6800 has settled and buy it then because i have to pay all my HW myself
so i'm not going to buy an GFX off 500€

give me advise

ow and yeah is the 5900XT flasable to an 5900ultra or even higher ?

TerAngreal is testing the 5900XT from Chaintech ATM, it looks quite flashy, and performance wise the FX5900XT chip is good.. and with some luck you can overclock it quite high

yeah i know, only 125mhz diffrence in memclock of an 5950U

is he gonna sell it after testing or ... ?

i've seen a couple of PoV cards who clock very high!!!

POV used to have excellent OC cards with the GF4 series cuz' they used the 4600 reference board for the 4200 and placed faster ram on the cards but near impossible to get in Belgium.
When I was looking for an FX 5900 XT, I checked POV's site and it said 2.5ns memory modules.
I bought an MSI cuz I'd heard that they had 2.2ns memory modules on them. This wasn't entirely true; the card I got had 2.8 ns memory modules on it but I read later that they sometimes performed up to 2.2 ns specs ... luck of the draw, as it so often is...
