QNAP TVS-882 High-Performance 8-bay NAS Review

Storage/NAS by stefan @ 2016-07-28

The TVS-882 High-Performance 8-bay NAS from QNAP delivers very good performances all across the board, beginning with transfer speeds throughout the network and ending with virtual machines which can be run in much better conditions than what we have seen with previous offerings. The Intel Core i3-6100 CPU seems to help a lot the overall build and the fact that we can install up to 32GB of DDR4 memory allows the user to run many more processes at once. The NAS administrator is able to install a mix of M.2, 2.5’’ and 3.5’’ drives and it really does not stop here because in the remaining expansion slots we can install devices to support 10GbE cards, PCIe NVMe SSDs, USB 3.1 adapter expansions and more.
