Intel Core 2 Duo E8700 Real or Photoshop?

Core 2 Duo E8700 has been listed at Intel’s product page for a while, as the top processor in the Wolfdale based Core 2 Duo family, but the availability and pricing remain mysterious

The specs have been confirmed as well: 3.5GHz, 6MB of L2 cache, FSB1333, and a TDP of 60W. Considering the retail version has been ready, I guess it won’t be long before it becomes available actually.

We've been discussing this heavily at Xs and it seems real... CPU-Z validation has been done, till now only 2 samples known worldwide coming from the same source (private vendor)

Hey folks, I started my computer oddesy in October 2003. My first modern Computer contained a 2.66GHz 533MHz FSB Northwood CPU. I loved that machine and I was hooked for life. As every builder knows, that wears off! Upgrade, Rebuild, Faster, Stronger. In the old days that may be easier said than done. By the time I found a 3.4GHz Northwood it was 3 yrs later! AMD is a runaway freight train, on an incline plane! Should I switch tracks? Should I stay on a train that is just leaving the station? In 2006 Intel started picking up speed and I got me a P4 571. I stayed on the same train that I boarded. Then came the E6600 and the game really started to change. Next came E6750 and it's time to get off. With a 2.66GHz 1333FSB I thought I had come to the End. Tick/Tock I done waited too long, I'm not jumping from a moving train. By the time I saw the E6850, I knew I was on the Express. No stopping and it don't slow down, it will take you wherever you want. Only one catch, you gonna' have to jump when you get to your destination. Well I waited and I waited for a soft spot to land, cause surely I am due for a break. I hopped off the train at 11:27 with a E87.... in my hand. To all the forums I Have joined, Thank You. To all the People I have Helped, Thank You. To all the People who Helped me, Thank You. I'm taking a years vacation. I'll be back when my stuff wears out, or when I need a clue, but till then you are all on your own. rockit00 the happiest geek alive.
