silent budget amd cooler

i'm looking for a silent cpu cooler to replace my noisy volcanu6Cu.
the cpu is an athlonXP1500+. I have no intentions to overclock this cpu.

I want a cooler that is quiet, but not too expensive (no silverado stuff)

I'm considering these coolers:

Global Win Tak58 @ 31€
Arctic cooling super silent 2000 @ 20€

do any of you have experience with these coolers? Which is the better cooler of these two, or are there better alternatives available? Is it easy to remove my volcano and install a new cooler, or is this best done by the shop?

thanks!

I've got no experiences with the "Arctic cooling super silent 2000" myself but I heard it performs really, really badly.

Cheapest "decent" solution is a volcano 7 with an enermax variofan @ low speed (30€) or even better, with a papst NGML (36€). Both are silent solution which will keep your proc below 55°C.

volcano7+papst will do the job

I myself have a Super Silent 2500, it really is Super Silent, it's not suited for overclocking of course (although I can get a little bit of OC'ing out of it), but it cools my 2000+ enough to be stable!

:OT: duron, since when did you upgrade from that nice K6-2 :D

any idea about the cpu temperature?
Do you have additional case coolers?

K6/2 was my backup system. I broken some ram, and i waited 2 months for a replacement form Loveno IT. Damn biatches. bought another stick at second hand, but i'm still waiting for my replacent. I used to have a duron 1.2ghz (bought it four days ago, but yersterday is ****ed him up during a voltmod)
Gonna oder a new one :) (overclocked quite well: 1200mhz @ 1400mhz 1.85v)

I need somebody who can do a Vcore mod on my KR7a-r, because I suck at small soldering things. :) I'm willing to pay €25 if he can guarantee it will work, and if he ****s up my board he buys me a new one
