Default little idea

hi ppl

after some long thinking about what cooler i should buy, i came up with this idea:

what if i buy the coolermaster AERO + Xdream @ colorcase for €26 + a Thermalright SLK800, and then mount the AERO cooler on the SLK800. Would this perform better then a SLK800 in combo with a papst/delta?

Grtz,
Giga

Those 4800rpm fans on a xdream are really low quality and have a bad finish. I'd be powerfull, but extremely loud and unreliable.

I'd rather buy a thermaltake variofan: if you wire the two legs of the temp probe together, it does 4400rpm. It's also cheap and pretty decent.

no, no you got it wrong

colorcase is selling the Xdream with an AERO7 fan on it, instead of the normal fan

so Xdream+AERO7+slk-800
becomes: slk800 with an aero7 fan ontop of it.
i'm going to test it's performance tomorrow.

let me know how the fan performs in comparison with a regular, silent fan... with other words: is it worth to replace my 44CFM delta @5V with this one?
