ghetto aircooling

stone-age is passé, so i went with ghetto

the problem was, too little airflow, and broke as usual
after some thinking, i found an enermax 120mm in my closet

with some cardboard and some duck-tape i made fan adapter
it looks somethinf like this now:

and guess what, it works
temps went from 56°, to 38°
with my tbred @ 12.5*170, 1.725Vcore
thats a full 18°

i know that one, but i can't attach my fan like that, it would be too low, and too close too the sink, to get a decent guiding.

WOW, mental ... that's awesome ... you just do some thinking and *blam* you have a 120mm in your closet Next time think of a barton 3000

j/k

You ducted the cpu-airflow with cardboard from the alpha to the 120mm fan. I would tape it thoroughly, better a smelly room then a pc that's on fire because of cardboard.

amen

in this Koolance, there is no possibility (yet  ) mounting intake fans, so I put a fan in the back of my case blowing air into the case and my SLK 800
with some ducktape, I connected those 2 fans resulting in cold air directly blowing up my SLK. guess what, my temp dropped with 5° !
