| Case Fan makes videocard overheat? Hello, i recently tried to install a case fan ( http://www.antec.com/images/400/80mm_4pin.jpg ). i placed it at the back side under the power supply, label pointed towards the outside. after the placement my case temps dropped by 8°C, so that's good BUT, my videocard started to act strange, weird artefacts until the whole system hung. i've now removed it and everything is back to normal. is there anything i can do about this?? some info (maybe useless, i dunno) * case fan: http://www.antec.com/images/400/80mm_4pin.jpg * Powersupply: standard 400W * Videocard: Aeolus geforce 4 ti4200 |

| hi, no i don't have intake fans, i had 1 case fan lying around which would have been the ONLY case fan in the entire system edit: i figured that i should let it blow hot air out rather than suck cool air in? i haven't tried it the other way though. |

| Should have both intake and exhaust case fans. Likely your case has min. air flow from the front to effect vcard performance after exhaust case fan installed.

| that seems the most logical explanation. there could be a vacuum above the vidcard so that heat builds up there.. or something.. i'll get a second fan to get cool air in. thanks! |

| this might stir up the CPU cooling, one in the front, on the in back would be ideal if you use only 1 fan, put it in the back to suck hot air out of the case

| i have 1 front intake, rear exhaust, and side exhaust, my case temp never goes over 25. ideally u need more exhaust than intake to make sort of a vacuum |
