Glad to see improvement.

Did the evap temp drop too, or just the cpu temp? Because the KX7 still reads from the mobo probe: temps could be exactly the same as before...

yes, and I'm pretty sure I'm making better contact than before.
Cause before I had "liquid slugging" which I don't have right now.
Good sign

I don't get this... how come your evap doesn't go below -38????
you're running idle, it should be lower, unless you're pumping 2.2 volts in it...

evap with every chip I used at any voltage went down all the way to -44 idle, and in the -35to-38 stressed...

is there sth wrong with your cooler? how is it configured? at what temp do you get fullfan strength (I put it at -43)

Well, I read a review where the guy got his prometeia replaced by a newer one and he got much better temps. And since I've got one of the first units, I'm a bit worried that I did get a less good unit...

Didn't change any of the settings of the chip-controller.

my rig is also online. It has become a watercooling setup with the fridge als waterchiller.

this thing makes a duron 1.2Ghz go 25°C at startup, 27°C idle and 31°C stressed.
In overclocking that means: duron 1.2@1.435, 1.90v idle: 32°C, stressed: 34°C

but there is one problem: the water is only 13°C, so my waterblock and tubing are condensating very quickly.

to do list:

bigger alu rad, retrieve from junkyard €5
anti condens kit with coldplate €0 (love working in a store )
peltier 54w 12v €0

and that's what i call usefull use of toiletpaper

extreme ghetto cooling

nice job tho

some ideas:
- put also a reservoir in the fridge
- insulate the tubing
- in "den brico" you can buy some copper coils, maybe a better solution than a rad (see overclockers.com)

reservoir in the fridge? no way, if i turn of my pump, everything freezes in about 5 min, don't want to speed that up.
tubing is going to be insulated, when i find propper insulated tubing.
My waterblock is alu, so using an copper rad...
maybe i'm going to order a good waterblock as well, but that would spoil the getto look of it

for now, this thing costed me €50

So, you're using just water? no methanol or anti-freeze?
If you add some methanol, the water wont freeze that quickly.

distilated water to be correct

i know that those things prevent water from freezing, but i need to disassemble almost everything (new tubing, new rad, maybe new waterblock) so it's better that i let it als it is for now, and use antifreeze when installing the new components.

i got me a pelt, a 54w model to be specific, and it truly rocks.
-18°C when no CPU heat. but when i turn the main system on, my cpu temp skyrockets from -18°C to +55°C and then i shut it down because it's way to hot
