ASIII on pelt?

I'm about to install my brand new 156w pelt with my homemade anti-condens kit, but now i was wondering: can I put ASIII between my coldplates and my peltier? Last time i tried that, het stuff was burned in the pelt (also because of te exessive heat :p )

use that white stuff, it's better.
AS III doesn't perform well on temps below zero.

arctic alumina is also an option.

Didn't know that about ASIII, good info gamer. :)

I used ASIII on my 80W pelt & coldplate combo, which worked well, but i don't think temps were below 0°.

white stuff == cheap thermal paste?

AA it is then :)

yep, that cheap stuff :)

didn't know it either, but a phase change maker told me so :)

this guy tested them all, AA and that cheap stuff works better when you use a pelt or a Prometeia/Vapo.
I think the problem is that AS III becomes solid after a while when your temps are below O°.

Can AA also replace the thermal grease you have to put into the socket when using a Vapo?
On the website they say "Electrical Insulator.
Arctic Alumina Compound is a pure electrical insulator, neither electrically conductive nor capacitive."

Gamer 18th September 2002 20:54

yep, you can use this for the vapo also.

i saw @loveno peltier paste and peltier gel

DUR0N 18th September 2002 22:33

So i can use AA as di-electric grease(to fill the pin holes on the socket) or what? :wtf:

as far what I can read, yes.
