In-Win 460W Compact PSU Review

In-Win began over ten years ago in 1985 fabricating PC-chassis, today were testing their 460W PSU solution which uses a 12cm lighted fan for cooling. At 150x86x140mm (W/H/L) the unit is diminutive and will fit any ATX case. Stay with us as we discover if the In-Win 460W packs a performance punch.

The specs for the 120mm fan on page 2 is located here (page loads a little slow). According to the linked chart, the model number DF121225BM (the B denotes it has two ball-bearings) lists its specs as:

Speed: 2200 rpm
Voltage: 12VDC
Airflow: 76.63 cfm
Static Pressure: 3.26
Noise: 38.64 dba

I have used a couple of the 120mm 350w InWins in the past year in some low end systems because of their price/reputation and they are still working wonderfully so far.

The only thing that concerns me about the 460w, is the longevity(lasting longer than a couple of years) of the Ost caps they apparently used throughout the PSU and probably used in the 350w ones I bought and used too(I didn't want to void the warranty to check). Although the Active PFC may help take some stress off of the Ost Caps in the 460w.

Thank you for the review and pics of the PSU's interior.

I am grateful for this site and its reviews and was just trying to be helpful by locating some more info on the fan in the review.

Keep up the excellent work!
