Vantec Tornado and NXP-205 Multi Fan Controller Review
 

If you want extreme performance from your air cooled system then this Tornado fan might be what you need. too bad the 3 pin connectors don't have an extension for rpm monitoring :(

please tell me how the 4-pin fans will give the needed RPM metering ...

eh ? i mean the fact that when ou use a 3pin fan header directly on the fancontroller or on the extension cable, there is no possibility to plug it into the mainboard rpm header...

Does the 4-pin only effect the voltage; but unablet to read RPM, right?

But why don't they make 5-12V fancontrolers, I know there would be a risk that the fan wouldn't spin anymore, but then add an alarm for that.
