Would you be able to show screenshots of Code Reds A64 Tweaker for both the Gskill LE and the Corsair when they are both at the same speeds? I'd like to see what difference accounts for Corsairs small advantage in the tests and benches at like for like speed and timings.

Thanks.
Any joy?

I'll try to get to that tonight!
It will be in a slightly different system though

I know it's a roundup for samsung tccd ram, but wouldn't it be handy to include a pair of normal pc3200 3-3-3-8 ram?

I need to buy 2*512 asap, but I can't figure out if it's worth the buy. I currently have a p4 setup, but i'm planning to buy the best price/quality setup in q4, but only when my current setup can't handle the things that i need my rig for, and gaming isn't a priority. A rock stable, fast, silent, well equipped rig is. Especially used for CCE encoding/photoshop/databased acocunting.

Dualcore procs / ddr2 / pci-x , I currently have no need for it, but the key question is:
Will this ram be outdated within the next 3 years?

Anything can happen in three long years; buying a ready made unit from Dell or HP would be the way to go if they meet your requirements.

I think it's safe to say that DDR I won't be found a high performance pc 3years from now.

about tccd is it worth it? if you're not going to overclock, no

I'm not gonna break records, but for example my 2.6 has been running at 3.4 for over 2 year now, the difference with current intel setups is neglible. but this ram runs at 5/4 divider with 3-3-3-8 timings. And since i need more ram anyway, i think it's better to buy better ram to run at 1/1. This won't be noticeable, but on the a64 it wil be.

I am planning to do the same with my future rig, maximum oc without any mods.
Current amd setups are ideal for this, and that's the tought behind it.

Budget wise it isn't a problem, but i really don't want to waste 300 euro when it can be done with 150 euro.

au contraire; you will notice a larger increase in performance on your P4 rig by running ram at 1:1 with tight timings then on the A64, the P4 gets more of a boost with the extra memory bandwidth then the A64.

it depends on what will impress you
the real asset of TCCD memory in my humble opinion is the wide availibity, low voltage requirements and ablility to run CL2 2-2-x 1T at 200Mhz.

compared to CL3 4-4-8 it can make 10-20FPS difference in games: http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets...spx?i=2330&p=4

"First and foremost Half Life 2 does appear to be rather dependent on memory bandwidth, but it is also quite appreciative of low latency memory as well. If you're wondering whether being able to run memory at low timings and high clock speeds is important, when it comes to Half Life 2 performance it is."

ok I'm not impressed by it's performance on A64 but it is good ram for those that don't feel at ease with higher voltages.
