Trapped under ICE: Extreme FX-55 overclocking

When you have the fastest CPU (at stock speeds) on the planet, you just have to push it further, although phase change cooling can get your underway, LN2 is bound to give you the edge. Letīs pour a few litres on this blazingly fast A64 FX-55 to see how high it can fly.

Those crazy crustaceans over at Mad Shrimps have pulled out the LN2, rounded up an Athlon FX-55 and started overclocking. Not only did the get extremely impressive results…their system also met a tragic end. Fun stuff.
Why do they call you Crazy?
I always thought you were MAD which is a cut below CRAZY.:)

well he was leaning towards the motherboard because he placed a heatsink on the cpu, fired it up and the heatsink got warm.

Hi, first post

I dont want to make it sound like a rant!

First off well done on a great round up review :super:

I know people have asked to see what these can do in the DFI board. Why? Get the high voltage soloutions like the OCZ VX if you have one of these boards. You will see the VX fly with the big volts!

I would like to see a what these sticks can do at their tightest timings 2-2-2 and a max of say 3volts at 1T.

Thanks
