Have you done any comparisons with other heatpipe heatsinks? Like the coolermaster and such? Would be interesting to get a value comparions (price/performance)

Coolermaster's HHC-001 Heatpipe heatsink is on par with a Swiftech MCXC370

a little better then a Volcano 7+

and afaik this Coolermaster seems to be for AMD only :/

Talking about AS5.
What TIM will perform best?
-AS5
-CoolerMaster premium (shinetsu)
-ShinEtsu by G51(or whatever the number is, allways forget it)
-Nanotherm PCM+

got AS5/Ceramique/Coolermaster Premium/AS3/AS-alumina up for testing here, if anybody can get me some PCM+ I'd be happy to include it in the roundup :)

I enjoyed reading your review and was wondering if you could clarify something for me.

In your article you wrote that:

"As a last test I set the CPU to 2.4Ghz, removed the CPU fan and let the system run like this.. for more than 1 hour! The CPU temperature was only 53°C."

Is this in idle or while running Hot CPU tester Pro?

jmke 2nd December 2003 17:06

at idle, at load it reached these temps in a much shorter time period :)

Dag, well I should have known it was too good to be true.

heh, I commented on your results at www.silentpcreview.com and they said it was idle as well.

Still looks like an amazing heatsink, great review by the way!
