| DFI-Street posted the review, read one very interesting post there, and what's even more, I posted the divider table here @ [M] also http://www.madshrimps.be/forums/show...2404#post82404 . Basically it showes that using .5x multipliers puts the memory at a lower speed; in the review I used the multipliers heavily in order to keep the CPU speed as close to 2200Mhz as I could. So the performance numbers at the end in 3DMark/Q3A are off by 1-2%, by the most... high HTT speeds do not deliver great performance increases on A64 (on S754 at least). so the MAX OC tests are still valid in the review, luckily here's the DFI-Street thread: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/show...&threadid=3614 also very good DFI forums there, Oscar Wu is on there if I'm not mistaken;

| Excellent TCCD shootout review Heres a shoutout to the reviewer doing the article. Nice work, it made up my mind on the ram I'm buying. Cancelled my OCZ pc-3200 Platinum Rev 2 and went for the Patriot Extreme. I'm not one of these guys that bench with just one 512 stick to put up a good benchmark score. I bench with two dimms occupied, same way I game. So I found this review very helpful in my buying decision. |
