I have an Antec Sonata Case (which has a front panel door) and I was wondering if this unit would fit... therefore I would like to know how far from the right edge the knob for fan 4 is and also how far it comes out from the front plate of the unit. Or if someone owns this unit and a case similar to mine just let me know if it fits.

Thank you!

Yes, it would fit the Sonata II case; However, you can only use a single point to secure the rail to the controller (both sides), and the use of a "correct" size screw. Mount it like a HDD, there is enough clearance for the door to shut.

Lazyman suggested I post this here.

I recently bought an Akasa FC-03, and it seems to be pretty much exactly the same as this rheobus.

I wanted to ask you how it would be possible for me to fix that extra cable on the connection so my motherboard's fan failure protection still works, even though the fan's on the fan controller. I don't have much technical modding-expertise or equipment, but I'm eager to learn.

Lazyman's reply:
Like I explained in the article you need 1) female 3-pin plug as shown in the article; 2) add a wire (black) connect to the yellow (12volt) from the controller that is used for the fan; to the female 3-pin.

My concern with this: doesn't the fan get 2*12V then? I don't get it.

Nope, the yellow wire is the wire for the tachosignal. All you have to do is connecting the tachosignal to both the fancontroller (plug the fan in it) and to the motherboard's fan header (run a wire from the fan to the connector).
Or, you can turn off the fan-fail feature in the BIOS.

On the 3-pin femal connector; Black = ground, Red = 12 volt and Yellow = sensor

Right, thanks, thought the color code would be the same as with a 4-pin molex. I'll give it a shot later tonight or tomorrow. Hope I still got some 3-pin extension cables to spare.
