| I would love to see this review. There are a few of them but none feel good. More like "it's quieter now". |

| hey Sgt Spliff,I've finished the testing and used the Quiet Drive for my recent HSF roundup as it does help to reduce vibration and high pitch noise, the problem with hard drive noise is that it's hard to eliminate completely, and if you want a silent system, deciding on a silent hard drive is very important; the quiet drive can't perform wonders on a noise HDD, I tried a 40gb older drive and while the dBA meter did drop a few notches, the perception of noise was not drastically reduced, due to the fact that the HDD used was pretty loud, no matter how well isolated. with a newer Western Digital 200Gb HDD the results were more promising, the WD was pretty quiet out of the box, and once installed inside vibration and higher pitch were harder to notice, seek noise still remain audible, but at a lower frequency; overall the quiet drive does what it advertises, but the hard drive you pair it with must be a quiet one to begin with if your goal is "near complete" silence.
