Motherboard Chipset Roundup

Keep your motherboard chipset cool with a quiet heatsink (and fan). In this roundup:

- Coolermaster Blue Ice
- Coolermaster Blue Ice Pro
- Thermalright HR-05
- Jing Ting JTS-0005
- Jing Ting JTS-0006
- Zalman NB47

Where's the link to the test?
BTW Jmke, I meant the SLI version of the HR-05 not an HR-05 on an SLI MB :)

On the TestBench - Work In Progress

Son to be released ;)

Quick, email Thermalright!

jmke 8th August 2006 10:21

no good, roundup is done:)

and SLI version from HR-05 not yet "in stock" where we got our previous sample

No worries, I'm sure the results will be the same but should allow fitment on certain 'difficult' MB's.
The SLI has apparently just been released in US according to Thermalright Marketing.
Any release date for the NB cooler roundup?

jmke 8th August 2006 11:34

it's as good as done, Mich_vm has only the last page to finish:)

the HR01 is quite thin, on the Asus A8N it will work in SLI fine

other motherboards have their SLI slots closer together, so that can cause issues

FireTech 8th August 2006 11:45

Some boards (i.e. mine) have their GPU's over the NB cooler!

jmke 8th August 2006 11:46

what motherboard do you have? (Jing Ting will fit on that one btw)

FireTech 8th August 2006 12:08

That one is a Winfast (Foxconn) NF4Ultra.
I was looking to get a Jing Ting but they aren't worth the money IMO. The Thermalright is a lot less $'s and passive.

jmke 8th August 2006 12:20

but that's not an SLI board:p

hehe

the HR-05 SLI does seem to resolve possible conflict issue and performance should be on par/better than the current HR-05. Don't expect any drastic differences
