and here is the Thermalright XP-120 , both are for Socket 478 only, there is also a socket 754/939/940 version available

man it's huge. :eek: (xp-120)

but it doesn't weigh a thing, competely out of ALU!

I ordered me some silent papst 120mm fans from www.pc-cooling.de , installed the XP-120, hooked the fan to a rheobus, set speed to maximum.. hmmm.. no sound.. wtf?

this baby has potential, it's soooooo quiet :)

120mm fan instead of 90 ....... imagine the size of the cooler.:D

idd, the old version allready had problems with fitting in some cases, what will it be with this 120mm fan version?

edit: btw, the old one looks very dusty :D.

Just for the sake of argument:

My Prescott 2.8E @3.5Ghz with 1.5V is about 130 Watts.
Room Temp 22C
Case temp (assuming only 5C above ambient) = 22+5=27C
Thermal compound coefficient 0.008 (infinitive)
C/W rated 0.19 (lowest @100 Watts)

Total C/W = 0.19+.0.008=0.198

130Watts x 0.198 + 27C = 52.74 C

Hope that thing doesn't break your retention brackets. 918 grams ! :mad:

idd, I wouldn't risk it to keep such a cooler on my mobo while transporting my pc to a lan or something like that.

my Zalman CNPS7000B-CU units have arrived! :woot: www.crazycamel.be had some problems with delivery

I have 2 units from CrazyCamel, 1 Unit from Comtech and 1 from Agent#2

I have 3 chances of screwing it up:p

Would you consider including the Thermaltake Silent Tower in any of your reviews? I'm especially interested in knowing the headroom of this 6 heatpipe heatsink with additional airflow. I'm sure it could mount twin Vantec Tornados and I'm sure the results would be amazing. I haven't seen this heatsink compared with any others yet.

hey forfortoo, don't have the TT silent tower, send several requests to TT without success :/
