Performance is equal as the 850 I've tested for the i5 launch article

-OOPS-

Was this under NDA? :D

you've mentioned no performance numbers :)
now we need to know retail pricing for Core i5 850 vs 750

I was in Bejing these last days and we saw a couple of 750's in retail. Price was 1690 RMB, which is about 170-175€

Core i5 750 $209.99
Core i7 860 $299.99

so $90 difference for same performance; or is the Core i5 850 yet another beast? :)

The 850 was an ES of the 750 with HT enabled.

jmke 5th September 2009 10:06

ok, doesn't make much sense, but it confirms we won't be seeing 850 in retail then:)

i5 750 is 2.67Ghz max to 3.2Ghz with Turbo Mode, pretty decent if IPC is faster than Wolfdale

Tones has LGA 1156 category ready: http://tones.be/shop_producten.php?cat=39040
