More than half of a year has gone by, the excitement continues –

1) AMD S939 continues to grow into X2 beating Intel Dual Core in performance with much higher pricing.
2) Intel continues to make money with even hotter Prescott Dual Core.
3) nForce beats ATI’s paper launch in both money making and performance products.
4) Swiftech is trading in NASDA.
5) 20+4 Pin Power Supply becomes the norm.
6) Heatsinks grow in size again.
7) More 120 mm case fans found in ATX cases.
8) DDR gets into >600MHz.
9) Battle Field 2 to be interesting game.
10) AMD is complaining to the Court about Intel.

Enthusiasts beg for more, dry-ice becomes the Drag Race to feel the “high” rather than “Beer and Grass”.

I notice Intel 945/955 boards and DDR2 are not the hot articles insofar. SLI got cold in only a few weeks. It seems the PC market has reached a saturation point in both North America and greater parts of Europe, while the growth in the coming years will definitely in China and India. Will we hear the unfamiliar voices from the new breed of enthusiasts? Time will tell. What do they perceive overclocking; games; cooling that will determine how the market will supply their needs and wants would be interesting.
