Question : The Hercules 9700 Pro comes with a heatsink on the back of the Gpu. When installing a Zalman 80A-HP this one has to be removed?

I`ve got VGA Sillencer on my Gainward GeForce 3 Ti/450 GS PP and he works on 220/550 ... and I can more overclock gpu but it`s ok. VGA Sillencer is great and cheaper than Zalman or Thermaltake.

where can one get some of those blue ramsinks that were on the 9700 pro card? they're a nice touch.

I think it are the stock memsinks

thermaltake sells memory cooling kits, they include such blue heatsinks. they're a bit longer though, so you have to cut them to make them fit

They came with the Titan cooler. I forgot to include the graph with memory temps before / after applying heatsinks. Good thing you mentioned it, i'll fix it asap.

Yes, great review. But I think your numbers are a little off. I purchased the zalman 80C-HP with the fan, because of this article. I have it mounted on a 9600 XT and I have found my idle is 35 c and loaded is only 42 c. Could my case cool that much better than your test bed case?

I highly recommend this GPU cooler to anyone that has a side window, it is just too cool looking. And as far as the Giant II, don't waste your time, I replaced one with the Zalman. And the Zalman does a great job at cooling your south bridge too.

Anyone want a Giant II real cheap?
