| Custom PC's web page: http://www.custompc.co.uk/ will not have any of their extensive magazive reviews reviews posted immediately. Currently the earliest they have is from Dec2005. I guess it is to make you buy the mag. |

| Sorry to "bump" this thread. I have a question about the Big Typhoon. Is the height of this heatsink (dimensions: L122xW122xH103mm) mentioned the height with or without the fan? I think with fan but I hope without because I need a heatsink not higher than 78mm (without fan) |

| Measured quickly here the Big Typhoon is ~10cm high without fan. The Mini Typhoon is ~9cm without fan.

| Hmmz i really need to upgrade now, i've been using the stock A64 cooler @ 7-12V rheobus, even at 7V it's audible. Idem for my XFX7800GT (same as in the vga roundup) 7800gt is easy => NV silencer rev3, available at almost any pc store here. Easy installation, cheap and decent. CPU is another problem. 3800+ X2, at the moment i don't have the ram for it. But i'm planning it to oc to 2200, maybe 2400mhz. 2 options: 25€ Freezer 64 (pro) 50€ Scythe Ninja + 15€ 120mm papst fan. + 5€ shipping 70€ vs 25€, is the pricetag worth it? It doesn't seem so to me. |

| Damn! But thanks anyway For measuring and for the nice review! I want a better cooler without fan but the height of the cooler cannot exceed 78mm. Yesterday I was very excited about the Big Typhoon because I thougt it was 103mm - 25mm (fan) = 78mm but today I saw the word "heatsink" in "heatsink dimensions" and I started to doubt :P |

| why the restriction, what case are you using? @Teki: the Ninja will allow you to run dead silent, with a single 120mm fan at very low speed; up to you if dead silence is of importance;

| I have a SilverStone SG01. My goal is building a very quiet but powerfull SFF PC. Therefore I tuned down the casefans, installed a Thermalright XP-120 without fan, installed an Antec TruePower 2.0 with temperature controlled fan, ... My current CPU is an Athlon64 3500+ and my GPU a 6600GT. Not exactly very high-end but the case, CPU, GPU and chipset temperatures are extremely high. I want to upgrade my GPU (7600GT or 7900GT) and my CPU (X2) and I'm worried the temperatures will then be too high. |

| Yep, I've already seen that one I'm waiting for reviews because I don't know if it will perform much better then my XP-120 |
