Corsair COOL water cooling kit review Corsair first dipped their toes into the reflective pools of water cooling back in 2003. Their product, aptly named Hydrocool was a self-contained "black box" which housed a pump, radiator/fan, reservoir, and electronics, including LED temp display. Corsair has recently returned to the CADCAM drawing board. This time they´ve eschewed the external box design, opting instead for an integrated system. This is a Swiftech kit painted different colors. Did you read the directions because you have the water block mounted upside down. How about reading the direction on Swiftech's web site and redoing the test. |
In the review it was mentioned that the water temp was monitored but I didn't see it listed. What was the water temp at stock load and O.C. load? Also, where was the ambient temp taken? The idle temp at 2750mhz was shown to be 37C but the idle temp at 2860 was shown to be 22C. why was this? Am I correct in understanding that a sensor was wedged inbetween the heatspreader and waterblock? |
@agiacobbi: check the 3rd page please, the author, Liquid3d, included the wrong pictures in the review, he tested both mounting ways without finding much of a performance difference. @freelb: the last temp at 22°C was no longer with the same conditions as the rest of the tests, that's why you see the lower temperatures. for the other questions please wait until the author reads this post, I'm sure he'll be more then happy to clarify it. thanks both for posting |
