780MHz is comepletely f**ked up
770MHz seems to run perfect (5 3dmark loops)
maybe a few MHz more, but not much

"budget card" is not really applicable in my humble opinion, it still costs 220 ~ 230 euro's (including shipping) in Belgium.

Budget cards are supposed to be 50 ~ 100 euro, most of my (gaming) friends don't want to spend more than 75 euro on a new grafic card.

It seems like a sweet card, but given my 7 months old R9800 (which costed 50 euro more than your FX5900XT) is a more futureproof card, i wouldn't call the FX5900 XT a steal. Still a nice choice if you want to stick to nvidia. ; )
