The jumpers are mis-identified on the picture and on the Chaintech card AV710). The jumpers on "J7 are not only going the wrong direction there's one too many! Pin 1 & 2 run vertically, and there's only 1 ea. of pin one and two. It took me two days to figure this out. I'm so worn out that I'm notr going to complain to the chaingang.

i need to flash my bios to install new prescott cpu i've never done this before

i've downloaded the latest bios and flash utility

alt + f2 doesn't work and i dont know how to create a bootable cd or floppy. can anyone give me some advice on what to do.

i've tried drdflash but i get a error
"disk error on track 19, head 1 address mark not found"

i've just tried the create ms-dos boot disk option in my computer but that didn't work when i tried to boot from it (this is really starting to do my head in)

got drdflash to work copied bios and flash utility to the floppy but when A:> appeared on screen my usb keyboard wouldn't work. do i need a ps2 keyboard to use this disk?

finally done it but my hard drive wasn't recognized afterwards, 2 days and a lot of searching after and i realised that the onboard sata controller(i think thats what it called anyway) had been disabled during flash. and i was just about to bin my hdd aswell!
