AMD Athlon 64 Socket 754 Motherboard Roundup While the s754 platform might seem to lose its appeal with cheap s939 based A64 processors around the corner, the s754 platform is still good for a budget friendly overclocking thrill with just a minor performance loss compared to the newer s939 platform. The recent release of the some excellent OC boards have spiced up the s754 world, making the choice between going for s754 board now or to waiting for a good s939 setup even harder. http://www.madshrimps.be/gotoartik.php?articID=250 |
great job RB! :super: |
Excellent work, RB! Does it mean DFI is the winner?;) |
I hope so (its the one I'm getting) Anyone have a quick summary about the pros and cons of a nforce board? I will be getting the dfi for my rig, and just wanted to know what I could brag about to others :p |

I read them, but i also like to get some incite of forum members (or mods ;)) |
I bet the Asus MB is overclocked. Asus has a history of delivering juiced system clocks, and, as a result, these reviews tend to show inflated performance numbers for Asus MB. This can be checked. Use CPU-Z to check the system clock when your processor is at its stock speed. Then go back into BIOS and make adjustments until CPU-Z shows the proper system clock. Redo the tests. |
