| Don't know much about the differences between AMD 64 and AMD 32 proc computers.... Memory controller is in the CPU for AMD 64 chips. The chipset is out of the picture.... |

![]() | Touché, thank you for pointing out that obvious fact, although we seemed to have missed it completely, DOH. renamed the article to reflect these changes, the tests are still a valid way of showing performance difference when changing memory timings around on the single channel A64 platform. The CAS Latency 2 vs 2.5 remains untouched ![]()

| curious why you didn't include ram tested at 2-2-2-6 vs 2-2-2-5 ? i have the same AMD64 3000+/AN50R unmodded and 2-2-2-6 is faster than 2-2-2-5 from my testing |
