depends on the adapter :) the AMD produces alot of heat @ 2v vcore seeing as the SLK900 is also at the top of the performance list, you can be sure it is quite good for your P4 http://www.overclockers.com/articles373/ for P4 Cooler Master IHC-H71: 0.16 |
Is that coolermaster really better :| I cant believe it, i thought the titans were MCX 4000 and SLK-900 Its the see-trough blue adapter @loveno Well, thanks anyways |
I can't find the coolermaster anywhere :( I only saw a ICh L71 |
as you can see, the Alpha PAL8942 is worse then the Coolermaster.. but the Alpha is beaten by the Swiftech in my review -> http://www.madshrimps.be/gotoartik.php?articID=37 so Swiftech/SLK will surely be top quality |
I know, but what is THE TOP :'( I'm wondering about that for months now, and i haven't find an answer yet, @ telenet.games they say: thermalright slk900, and if I ask why: cuz its something different then what the others have :s What a statement :s Btw, @ www.overclockers.com, what does the C/W number mean? |

you're quoting from an AMD article my man :) Intel has higher threshholds :) |
So what :D I guess the swiftech is more compatible with a fanadapter, and i guess it won't fit on the thermalright, but i allso have a 92mm fan from my dell PC, which DOES fit on the slk, but with a much lower airflow as my 80CFM papst I just want to squeeze every last megahertz out of that p4 1.8 (the one with 256 cache, williamette i believe :() I bought 2 40mm fans to mount on my rimms (should be bottleneck to OC i think, but they perform pretty well) and a 80mm to put on my graka (on top of it) or to combine with a zalman 80a hp in the future |
yeah the thermalright slk800u is very good. i just received it and still testing the stability on my P4 with the intel stock cooler and running @ 100% load i got a temp reaching to 56°C. Overclocked to 2983mhz it was 62° (way to much) I don't have any temps yet with the slk800U but i'll put em online soon |
