WU question
 

is it possible to continue a started WU on another computer even when the other computer already finished that WU 2 days ago?

I started a WU on my dad's Athlon 1.2 and I would like to copy the current WU to my XP 2500 so that it can be completed before 1/6

My XP 2500 already finished to WU 2 days ago, so if I finish the current WU on my XP will I get my points or not?

just copy the whole folder and start fah4console.exe

ok thx, I knew that you could copy the whole folder but I wasn't shure about the points. I already copied the folder to my pc at work last week with another WU to fold during my working hours, I don't have any internet restrictions but I was unable to download a WU at work.

as far as I know it wouldn't work.

The server gives the specific WU to that particular pc and knows which WU is send back to the server.

Your 2nd pc will finish the wu but i'll doubt it if you get points ;)

mmmh, maybe I better take no risks and I will stop on my Xp just before 100%, copy the folder back and let the Athlon finish it.

I submit all WU's I finish at work from my PC @ home, without problem.

that's not the same as :

PC1 working on WU 30% => Copie the folder to PC2 and finish the last 70% of it (you'll get no points)


You JMKe get points because your work pc has finished that WU and you upload the wu's on a different pc.

I can finish them also, I took a 128 point WU with me to finish it here, since I won't be in the office for 4 days :)

but will the pc in your office finish that 128 pointer and you still get points ?

my PC in office are unable to submit finished WU's due to the proxy
