Powerchute soft works fine ... but has NO option to trigger an event.

Ontopic info http://sturgeon.apcc.com/whitepapers...A?OpenDocument

... which doesn't help in this case

I mailed APC.

The answer is to uninstall the APC soft (powerchute), reboot and then the native W2K support is restored.

Simple answers are the best.

Everything works, 1 extra folder engaged 24/7

Great support at APC, got 2 answers in two days.
