I also got that @ school once.

Install it , copy it on a different location and try to run it then.
After a few times , mine worked.

very strange idd, and you can connect to internet etc? firewall accept? I don't think you forgot something like that, so it's very strange.

see in the logs when your fah doesn't download anymore , like last yesterday around 7.35h or smthing and maybe you can work it out or find the problem.

I just copied my folding@home folder and runned it on a other partition disk and that worked for me.

I hope you can fix it.

I got it to work after installing 2 custom softwares thanks to http://www.overclockers.com.au/folding/HTTP%20Proxy.htm

and the HTTP Tunnel proggy from Maddy

unfortunately the client no longer runs hidden and it's quite a bugger to install + HTTP tunnel soft is not free.. blah!

anywhooo.. this reduces the amount of PC's I can use for F@H here to.. 2 I'm afraid :/

but looking at the stats since Sunday evening when the PC@work stopped folding, it seems output has not lowered that much.. if any.. http://www.foldingatwork.com/team.jsp?teamID=37249

making me believe that I need to manually upload the finished WU's at work every day.. which is quite a bore at 16kb/s

ah yes.. btw, cheapest HTTP Tunnel license limits transfer speeds to 1.5kb/s ...
